About Us

Patriot Bank is dedicated to bringing back the essential and fundamental principles that uphold the very foundation of banking – integrity, honesty, dependability and a collective resolve to serve our community.

Patriot Bank takes its name from those colonists who, in July 1776, declared the United States of America an independent nation. As a group, Patriots were comprised of men and women representing the full array of social, economic, ethnic and racial backgrounds. An inherent component of being a Patriot was the individual responsibility to fellow citizens. That same devotion and commitment to one’s community and its residents is the foundation from which we will build this bank.

Each transaction you conduct with us will go beyond just dollars and cents. From our first handshake, it is our intent to create an overall experience that lets you know you don’t just have a bank – you have a financial advocate, a trusted advisor, a friend who really cares.

It’s really all about relationships, and that translates into having decisions made promptly on site, with products and services customized for your business or personal finances. In essence, we’re here for you.

Now let’s meet the leaders of Patriot Bank.

Patriot Bank Executive Officers

Michael E. Bezanson,

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Mike Bezanson is the chairman of the board of directors and CEO of Patriot Bank, having more than 30 years experience in financial services, in both the public and private sectors.

After earning a Finance degree in 1978 from Eastern New Mexico University, Mr. Bezanson immediately began his banking career in Denver, Colorado, as an assistant national bank examiner for the Comptroller of the Currency, the supervisor of federally chartered banks, where he held several positions of responsibility, including commissioned national bank examiner, regional director for corporate activities, and field examiner, before joining Security National Bank in Sapulpa, Oklahoma in 1984 as the bank’s executive vice president and chief operating officer. Soon afterward, he assumed the title of president in 1987, and chief executive officer in 1990. After successfully restoring this troubled bank’s condition to profitability and high performance status, he was responsible for overseeing Security National Bank’s sale to Durant Bankshares of Durant, Oklahoma, in 1999.

One of the founding organizers and the initial president of Oklahoma National Bank, a de novo bank opened in January, 2000, Mr. Bezanson had direct oversight of the bank’s lending function during a period of unparalleled growth, and ultimately served as the bank’s chairman and CEO before leaving to take the helm at Patriot Bank. He also played a major role in negotiating the sale of ONB Bank to Central Bankcompany in April 2007, and managed many facets of the subsequent merger of ONB Bank with Community Bank later that year.

Mr. Bezanson has served as a board member for the Boys and Girls Club of America and the American Red Cross, and has actively served on senior level committees for both the Oklahoma Bankers Association and the Independent Community Bankers Association. He has also been actively involved in leadership roles in numerous community and civic organizations.
